Since time eternal there has been a war waged for and against the souls of mankind. This struggle has long been known by the immortal ones as the Volition Wars. It is a war to decide if mankind would be slaves to the great powers of the supernatural, or if man would be free to prosper on their own volition and unlock the destiny that awaits…
Most of mankind has been unaware that such a war existed as it was fought beyond the veil of their eyes. They lived a fragile existence, unable to defend themselves from what they could not see. The warriors of light came to defend mankind against the soldiers of darkness, but these mystic beings could only do so much as the destiny of humanity rested entirely in the hands of mankind themselves…
For much of this war, both sides have been at a stalemate; neither side was winning or losing ground. However, for a short time, the defenders of mankind began to progress and victory seemed afoot. The time of peace seemed near, but all hope for humanity was premature. Mankind’s worst enemy was often itself, and it took little effort from the soldiers of darkness to utilize the worst traits that exist among men and use it to destroy themselves.
In the not so distant future a new world begins, and in the following years, there would be a drastic shift in the balance of power among the immortals. The age of freedom and enlightenment has ended. An age of darkness has begun anew, and only one can save us…
